My name in Andy and I'm going to college up here in Duluth. I'm a pretty shy person by nature and I'm slowly trying to break out of my shell. I am a romantic through and through, honest, trust worthy. A dam good friend to have in your corner. Responsible but I do not take things too seriously. I like to have fun and I am very playful. I also know when and were I need to be serious. Most importantly I am for real. I would rather be hated for who I am then loved for who I am not. Im 5'11, 195 pounds with long hair and afew tattoos. I have a HUGE love of music (mostly of the rock/metal genra but will listen to most anything but country).

I think there are a few things that I am looking for in a partner. One of the most important is honesty, if this is something youâ??re not sure you can do then donâ??t even waste your time. I am also looking for someone able to deal with lifeâ??s little "surprises" and not let it affect your entire life. "Fix what you can, let go of what you cannot control". I am a very independent, motivated, dedicated, well rounded guy. I served 5 1/2 years in the Army and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan a few times. I kind of put my life on hold while I went back to school, given that I didn't have the time or money to devote to a serious relationship. I'm known to be a nerd. I've been told i can live in a library if i really wanted to. On that note, i prefer to spend my time in a library than go to a party, but will still find it fun to go out with friends. My friends come to me for advice since they know i have a mature demeanor and can handle tough situations with ease and calm. However, this comes back to bite me in the but: i'm also known to be unemotional when it comes to watching movies where it's expected to show emotion and other taxing interests related to that.

I do enjoy going to classes that I like. I'm currently an anthropology major, with a pending decision of a second major or minor about I'm thinking of going to culinary school after I get my degree. I generally enjoy classes that promote discussion, have an engaging unit (textbook, multimedia, etc.) that promotes conversation, and makes me think of how to use the material in everyday life as well as years down the road. And making friends in a class is cherry on the sundae by itself!

I'm enjoy working hard by a day's end, but i do like to take some time to relax once work is done, (i guess you can say the right to relax and have peace and quiet is a fruit of labor); it depends on the work environment since some places i've worked at have been known to give me a fair amount of stress.

From that, i guess you CAN figure i'm your average person. But you'll have to get to know my in person which means getting off your duff and travel to where i am and start a face to face conversation. but western civilization has facebook to take care of that for us, don't we?

My passion in life is writing. I'm studying at the University of Minnesota Duluth for my English Major after transferring from a community college with my AA which would put me in my Jr. year here. Well Hello... So I'm not too sure about this, but here it goes. I have a wild side, but can still be a little nerdy. I have been told that I'm fun and have a good sense of humor. I am very social, but still enjoy cuddling up and watching a movie. I like to be affectionate. My friends mean a lot to me and I'd do almost anything for them. I thrive in the outdoors. Of course I like fishing, wake boarding, hunting, camping, hiking, snowmobile, the usual MN stuff... I'm also an amateur pilot, race MX, and build collector cars. I will never turn down something adventurous. I would like to find someone who could enjoy accompanying on scenic motorcycle ride or a day at the track. I live in the moment and try to keep my life fairly simple...I stay close with family and friends, because if it wasnt for them I would go nuts!

I would love to jump on a motorcycle and travel the US starting with the West coast and work my way East stopping at every little town in between searching for those little hole in the wall places to eat and all the National Parks that make our country so awesome!

I love music, live concerts especially outdoor venues and local bars...it would be awesome to catch a show at Red Rock amphitheater in CO or the Gorge in WA. my taste of music ranges from Rock/alternative to Blues/folk and a ton in between...minus the country twang, I think I have a Garth Brooks CD and thats it. LOL My latest kick has been B.R.M.C., the Ike Reilly Assassination, Black Keys, Spoon, Wilco, Bobby Bare Jr. and Toots & the Maytals for my Raggae fix.

I love to stay active throughout the year, I wear out tires on my Mt. Bike during the warm months and dull up edges of my skis during the winter months...and a ton of camping/fishing/hunting in between.

Im not the greatest Chef, but a dam good cook. LOL Im not afraid of the kitchen and I keep the Weber going all through the winter for some tasty BBQ fixins. The internet is awesome for coming up with new dishes, I have a few sites bookmarked for quick reference.

Its so hard to list all of the things that make me who i am, because there are just so many! I love the outdoors, and i like the indoors. I like to stay home, i like to go out. It all depends on the circumstance, i might be up for cooking a candlelit dinner, and soft music at home, or a crazy metal concert 3 hours away and arby's on the way! One thing thats true, things are always interesting.

I try to live my life the way i think it should be, with variations of course. All work and no play makes me a dull boy, and i am anything but dull. I am 160 mph in reverse on a traffic jammed highway, and at the same time slow, thoughtful and respectful.

I also like to paint, write stories and poems, and compose music. I have written about 60 songs so far.

I like building models too, its kinda neat. I like crafty things, like working on my house, gardening, all that funky stuff. Like skydiving. I have 64 logged jumps! woot!

I also like playing video games, and have pretty much every game system, but having someone else to play with is much better.

My newest thing is geocaching, i bought a gps, and its actually pretty cool.

I am a semi-charming, partly-romantic, kinda nice, and 100% sarcastic. I am honest, and while I try to be tactful, I sometimes am just a smidge too blunt. But there is not a malicious bone in my body. I am a very good listener, and I enjoy learning new things.

I like to read, take walks, and meet new people. I love to explore new areas...I think that you have the most fun when things happen spontaneously.

I am not really a bar fly (not that is an issue for those that like bars); I would rather be at a coffee shop or outside at a park or a trail. Actually, as we move into fall (and eventually winter), I find myself drawn more to the outdoors....I don't want to miss a minute of it while we still have good weather.

I have a good job and a great family. I consider myself very lucky, in the grand scheme of things.

Thought-provoking conversation is essential. I thrive on constant learning, look forward to returning to China, and to exploring any other country that will let me in. I live away from the city, but also love the diversity and peculiarities to be found in urban areas (NOT SUBurban). I raised my son mostly on my own, and have an abundance of regrets about not being able to offer him more. I wonder about people who don't wonder about anything. I get bored fast with what is often called success, which is far too materialistic and wasteful for me to feel good about, and I don't do real well with arrogant people, blind faith, or those who drive too slow in the fast lane. I am much more likely to feel like dancing if I happen to be in Ireland. I am much more sexual than this site's evaluation, I just prefer setting the stage for that with discretion. Quality is crucial in everything. Honesty is inexpendable. Curiosity needs to prevail over conclusiveness. I am fed up with the white patriarchal crap that has debilitated so many for so long, and I hope you are too. Thanks for reading through my lengthy ramblings, and if you are the type who demands positive change socially, politically, and environmentally, I hope you will initiate some dialogue with me.

I used to live in Los Angeles, so I kind of have the â??city girlâ?? aspect to me, but have lived in Minnesota for 10 years now, so I am well rounded. I am a little bit of a tech geek. I love the sun, summer days, and rain.

I treasure my friends and family. I wish my family was larger. I feel no one can have too many friends as long as it is not at the expense of your preexisting friends. I highly value my friends and will do almost anything for those that are close to me.

well im a guy thats likes to have fun, like to try to stay in shape by lifting weights and boxing and just like to try to get out as much as i can between two jobs. no longer boxing, as of 6/5/09 i am doing mma.

I am a single mother of two darling, wonderful little boys. I love music. I love listening to it, dancing to it, and I even sing opera. I love the world and (just about) everyone in it. I am eternally optimist and I try to see the good in everyone, even if I am driving behind them, or waiting in line as they count their pennies. I have a good sense of humor; I laugh all the time and walk around with a smile on my face. I think that life is full of interesting and amusing things so I constantly let myself be entertained.

I am a bit of a handful. Playful, honest, spirited, witty, intelligent, loyal, shrewd, artistic, introspective, expressive, warm, stubborn, compassionate, intuitive, passionate, gentle, sometimes critical, imaginative, sensitive, creative, inspiring, spiritual, intense, sensual, rebellious, extroverted, thoughtful, romantic, lively, generous, spontaneous, enthusiastic, charismatic, perceptive, flirtatious, individualistic, friendly, adaptable... shall I keep going?? Just another college student who will not be graduating any time soon because I spent some time trying to figure life out but things just kept falling through. I'm majoring in Electrical Engineering with the long term goal of working for N.A.S.A.

My current employment has me as a P.C.A. for some boys and it's been a very interesting job thus far. Some of the experiences I have received from this job are ones that I will carry through out the rest of my life.

Perhaps my biggest passion in life is traveling and other cultures, I plan to live and work outside of this country as much as possible.

About a year ago I started playing the guitar and will be decent some day but I am in no rush.

I am a huge cosmopolitan and enjoy all sorts of arts, I do not enjoy them just to feel as though I am 'sophisticated' but I believe the more you to keep your mind stimulated and the more you learn about life, the better you will be in understanding it, others and yourself. Does this sound cliche? Well that's to bad, they are my own original thoughts.

Other things I am into: Ultimate frisbee, biking, cross country skiing and hiking. I VERY much enjoy hiking although it is hard to find others who are, so most of the time I just solo it.

I am 20 and a sophomore in college. I love my family and friends and don't know what I'd do without them. I am also a big animal lover, I have a dog Chiko and a bird Molly. I was born in Southern Minnesota, had an absolutely Huck
Finn like childhood...fell in love with baseball, eventually fell in love with learning and bacame a teacher. I married my High School sweetheart and shared 33 years with that wonderful woman.

Moved to Duluth in 1970 and ended up teaching 37 years here. Fell in love with the lake and the arrowhead region.

Had two wonderful children rather late in life, my son was born when I was 37, my beloved daughter was born on my 39th birthday.

Played lots of organize softball, just quit about 2 years ago, went on many, many trips and camping outings with my family, been almost everywhere out west...and still love to go again and again, I would love to meet someone who would like to share in R.V.ing. and motorcycling.

I Am presently working a rather enjoyable part time job, only two days a week and it sure helps supplement Social Security and retirement income.

I would love to be able to spend some time in the Southwest during the bitter cold of winter, would enjoy exploring the southwest via motorcyle and road trips...now that is one of my favorite words/expressions "Road Trip".

I am a free-spirited, 20 year old girl, I don't know where my life is heading, but I'm living every single second of it to it's fullest. I enjoy a multitude of different things. I am extremely passionate about music, it may be clique to say but it gets me through every single emotion that I feel, it can make me happy, sad, energized, tired, passionate, angry, etc. I have high respect to artists that can write the most beautiful unique lyrics that I could only wish to be able to write in words. Most days I can be seen at school or at work, both of which consume a massive amount of my time. It's funny because as much as I love school I have yet to find the motivation to actually excel in it. My mom and dad always have told me that I'm extremely smart but I just don't choose to use it. I'd much rather be doing anything else besides homework. I've been to two different countries in my life so far. Mexico and Japan, both of which were amazing, life-changing trips. I've only began to mark off the long list of countries that I want to travel to while I'm young and beautiful. I especially want to travel to Spain and other places in Mexico where I can immerse myself into what I think is the most beautiful culture ever. I can speak Spanish close to fluent as well and I wish that it was my first language.
I love to have a good time, It seems like I go through cycles where I party a lot and then I don't party at all, so I think it's safe to say that I love going out as much as I love staying in watching a movie and cuddling. Currently I have an obsession of buying complete seasons of TV shows ans watching them in my down time. So far I've conquered Dawson's Creek (lol I know.), True Blood, and Alias. I also love reading a lot as well but I have to be in the mood.

I just came out of having the Lap-band in August of 08. I feel healthy although i do smoke (working on quiting though). I like doing things with my friends and family (just hanging out, talking, gaming, cooking). I like to read science fic/fan books. I'm generaly a pretty quiet person, until I get to know a person. I like to try just about anything once. I like to flirt but am only a one-women man.

I am in a lot of ways, the quintessential "guy", I like football, spicy food, drinking, smoking, etc. Of course, I'm also somewhat of a ponderer, and a little bit on the intellectual side, though I take pleasure in making fun of all the weird stuff in the world.
